The Executive Governor of Delta state has been nicknamed the “Road Master” going by positive antecedents accruing to roads and infrastructures. The Commissioner , Ministry of Economic Planning said Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has taken out physical infrastructures bullishly in line with the challenges and seriousness that it deserves thus creating a connect between the rural and urban centers.
He said Dr. Okowa has addressed major challenges of roads thus promoting trade and businesses , easy access to health care facilities and establishment of more hospitals.
Dr. Kingsley Emu resonates on the positive impact of Okowa’s administration as it relates to rural/ urban migration. He said the administration has stemmed rural/urban migration as people are more inclined to stay in their homes and be more productive .
Roads has become a major facilitator for movement between the rural area , the riverine and the urban centers.
Speaking with the host , OAP Dew Jemima Wilson on the Programme, “ Delta 2019: Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa in 3 minutes “, the Commissioner , Ministry of Economic Planning said the Okowa's administration has lessened the burden of transportation and allied matters as it relates to businesses.
Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has addressed in excess of 317 road projects , in excess of 1000kms of roads, 334kms of drains to enhance the longevity of the roads. Primarily, the riverine areas ( Okerenkoko , Ogulagha) are responsible for oil production hence the need to establish those roads.
The programme “Delta 2019: Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa In 3 minutes “ is put in place to among other things inform the populace on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s achievements in simple swift presentation in lieu of Delta 2019 and the need for his re-election to enable more consolidation of his achievements. The going concern of the programme is hinged on organic projection.
