By Jane Okolosi Wojuola

It was a euphoric atmosphere as a eight party loyalists who were sent to the Delta State House of Assembly were given recognition and asked to take a bow when they appeared for screening at the Assembly's chambers on Thursday this week.

Screening proper started after the Speaker of the House Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori called for petitions, matters of public importance and personal explanations.
The order for screening was called for and the underlisted  commissioner nominees came in groups.

The confirmed  nominees are expected to be commissioners and members of the state executive council, lieutenants and policy executors.
The first set to be screened were Rt. Hon Basil Ganagana from Patani Local Government followed by Chief Festus Ochonogor from Ndokwa West Local Government. Ganagana was a one time deputy speaker of the state house of assembly while Chief  Festus Ochonogor was a Senior Political Adviser to the state Governor, Senator Dr  Ifeanyi  Okowa.

Next were  Chief Patrick Ukah a former Commissioner of Information, James Augoye also a former Commissioner of Works in the state, and Barrister Peter Mrakpor. They  were also asked to take a bow. When the next set of nominees were ushered in by the sergent at arms, the speaker said it was "only fair to allow the remaining nominees take a bow"  thus  Florence Atlantan,  Chika Ossai, and Patrick Muoboghare  took their bows and were confirmed as Commissioners designate.

Professor Muoboghare refused to disclose his title while a renowned chief in the Speaker's kingdom did not introduce himself as a Chief until the speaker asked whether he was a chief , his slow response elicited laughter from members and those present at the screening.
Honorable Forteta, member representing Burutu 1 also used the occassion to inform and invite members of the honorable House to the wedding ceremony of his daughter fixed for July.
