It was a serene but politically charged atmosphere in Isoko North local Government Area of Delta state on sept 11, 2022 at James Welch grammar school, venue of the General meeting of Members of the Unity Group of the Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP.
Members of Isoko Unity group have been charged to plan towards the forthcoming campaigns for the party's presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
This charge was given in a keynote address by the chairman and commissioner representing Isoko ethnic nationality on the Delta State Oil Producing Development Area Commission, DESOPADEC, Dr Paul Oweh, while addressing members of the group at its general meeting at Emevor in Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.
Dr Oweh urged members to be dedicated, committed, and steadfast in delivering all PDP candidates during the 2023 polls.
The party’s candidate for the Isoko Federal Constituency, Jonathan Ukhodiko, while lauding Isoko Unity Group for a successful General Meeting, assured members that the PDP will record a landslide victory in the forthcoming 2023 election.
The member representing Isoko Federal Constituency Hon Leo Ogor welcomed members to the General meeting.
The delta south PDP senatorial candidate Evagelist Michael Diden reiterated that Isoko unity group has the capacity to deliver .
The meeting had Isoko North House of Assembly candidate, Barr. Bernard Odior , Chairman of the party in area, Prince Godwin Ogorugba, Delta State PDP Chairman, Chief Kingsley Esiso , the publicity secretary of the group, Felix Ofou and dignitaries.
Highpoint of the General meeting was the presentation of new members and endorsement of PDP candidates for the State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, Governorship and Presidency.
