Over two decades of experience in security management have shaped him into one of the most influential figures in Nigeria’s modern energy protection architecture.
As Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Pondi leads one of the most consequential battles in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector—the fight against crude oil theft, pipeline vandalism, and illegal refining. Under his leadership, Tantita has transformed pipeline surveillance from a reactive exercise into a proactive, intelligence-driven operation. The result has been improved security of critical national assets, increased crude oil production, and renewed investor confidence in parts of the Niger Delta long plagued by sabotage and criminality.
Yet, Pondi’s influence extends beyond protection. He is also a producer and a pioneer. In 2022, through Kalm Marine & Petroleum Services Ltd, he acquired an oil prospecting license for the Ogbanabou field—an important step that signaled his transition from safeguarding energy infrastructure to actively contributing to energy production. With the successful completion of his company’s first oil well, High Chief Pondi has etched his name into Nigeria’s growing list of indigenous energy developers, demonstrating that local capacity can drive national prosperity.
