TheLEGEND The Delta State Government has announced a large-scale recruitment exercise in the health sector as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state. The initiative, driven by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at filling critical manpower gaps and repositioning the sector for improved service efficiency. According to the announcement by the Delta State Ministry of Health, the recruitment will bring in qualified professionals and support staff to enhance healthcare services across medical facilities in the state.
The recruitment covers a wide range of professional and technical positions, including consultants, medical officers, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory scientists, physiotherapists, dentists, and radiographers, among others. In addition to clinical roles, the exercise also includes administrative, technical, and support positions such as accountants, ICT officers, biomedical engineers, health information officers, and community health workers. The move reflects the government’s broader strategy to improve health system capacity, expand service coverage, and ensure better patient care across Delta State.
Interested applicants are required to submit a formal application addressed to the Chairman of the Health Sector Recruitment Committee, along with relevant credentials, curriculum vitae, birth certificate or age declaration, certificate of origin, practicing license where applicable, referee reports, and passport photographs. Applications are expected within two weeks of the publication of the notice in The Pointer, after which qualified candidates will be considered for various roles within the state’s health sector.
