*THE PRINCE OF ANIOMA , HON. NED NWOKO HOSTS TEAM DELTA ; SUPPORTS TEAM WITH MILLIONS OF NAIRA AND SCHOLARSHIP.

Sports has been described as the veritable tools that enhanced the growth of a nation.
Honourable Ned Nwoko made the remark at a Gala night reception he organized for the two state sports contingent to the National Sports Festival 2018, and the 4th National Youth Game at Idumuje-Ugboko in Aniocha North local government area. 

Honorable Ned Nwoko extolled Delta as the best state and reassured the athletes that he would continue to encourage them by providing the necessary assistance that would enable them perform well and translate them to become world class Athletes that would bring glory to the state and nations. 

He advised the Athletes to upgrade themselves academically by furthering their education, adding that The Stars University at Idumuje-Ugboko will soon commence academic activities that will offer sports men and women the opportunity to pursue their career alongside sports activities.
Honorable Nwoko rewarded the Athletes with cash reward worth 20million, and on the spot offered scholarship to 20 Athletes to the university level. 

The chairman of the state sports commission, Mr Tonobok Okowa thanked Hon Ned Nwoko for inspiring and supporting the state Athletes to victory, and called on others to emulate Honorable Ned Nwoko for his commitment for grassroot sports development. 

The team leader Mr Ifekachukwu Paul thanked Honorable Nwoko for rewarding them with the cash gifts saying that his encouragement will bring out the best in them in future. 
In an interview, some Athletes  commended Ned Nwoko for the reward and charged others to emulate him, in promoting sports development in the country, affirming that with this kind of gesture, Nigeria sports men and women will go places.

The event was attended by Athletes, sports officials, Director General, Sports Commission, Mr Victor Ongagome John Fashanu, a former Super Eagle’s player and Olympic Medalists Chioma Ajunwa, among others. 

It would be recalled that at the Sports National Festival, Delta state won the Festival with 163 gold , 88 silver and 101 bronze , summing up medals to 352 to beat Rivers State which had 194 medals.

A pathfinder of ORO 2019 ( Operation Return Okowa, 2019) , Hon Ned Nwoko is not resting on his oars to mobilize thousands of supporters to ensure massive votes for the incumbent governor’s second term bid. He urged team Delta and others present to obtain their PVCs to enable them exercise their franchise to return Governor Okowa to consolidate on his giant strides.
