UN Warns Global Temperatures Likely to Stay Near Record Levels Through 2030

TheLEGENDThe World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has warned that global temperatures are expected to remain at or near record levels over the next five years, with an 86% chance that at least one year between 2026 and 2030 will become the hottest ever recorded. The UN agency also cautioned that a developing El NiƱo could intensify heatwaves, droughts, floods and other extreme weather events worldwide, underscoring the urgent need for stronger climate action and resilience measures.
